NARRATOR

“He focuses once again, but this time not as long. For the sound of silence had been loud enough to draw Octavian’s attention from his thoughts. For when he opened his eyes again, atop the steps that lead into the ballroom, a figure stood there, adorned in blue and silver. Nervous at first, they look across the ballroom, noticing the silence from the awestruck crowd. And even more so, the awestruck prince. Their gazes locked for a moment, the stranger and Octavian staring before they broke their view and descended down the stairs to disappear amongst the crowd-goers.”

OCTAVIAN

“Who… Was that?”

MC

“I don’t know, but she was… Wow… H-Hey! Where are you going?”

NARRATOR

“You trail after Octavian as he makes his way through the crowd. Although you got lost within a sea of faces, the prince’s golden attire was easy to spot within it. You stopped at his side, seeing him standing afar behind a pillar, his eyes still fixated on the beautiful stranger at a distance away. Their poise graceful, blue eyes sharp and intense, and lips pressed against the champagne glass before they threw their head back and downed that sucker like a champ. All before gesturing to the passing servants for another glass. And… Is that a cookie too? Sugar and alcohol don’t go well together, honey…”

MC

“…Well. She’s definitely-“

OCTAVIAN

“The most beautiful creature I have ever laid my eyes on…!”

NARRATOR

“You look at Octavian with the same look I’m giving him – one with disbelief and confusion. As you watch the maiden casually devour some cookies and guzzle champagne, you look to Octavian. Like a child full of wonder, he watches her with eagerness. You look back to the maiden, noticing that their gaze is on you instead. Really? You? You look back and forth, confused for a moment before you yet again give an awkward wave. And to everyone’s surprise, they chuckle and give a small wave in return.”

OCTAVIAN

“She noticed you…?!”

MC

“Well, yeah. I’m not the one stalking her from behind a pillar.”
